It was a busy and successful weekend for both our Whiting Middle School and High School Cross Country teams! Our Middle School runners traveled to Rensselaer and put together an incredible performance. Every single middle school runner recorded a new personal record (PR)! That kind of improvement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and determination these young athletes are putting in each day. Our High School team competed at Lowell, where our runners continued to push themselves and several athletes also recorded personal best times. The competition was especially valuable as the team went head-to-head with many athletes and teams they could potentially see again during sectional competition later this season. And, of course, the weekend included a little celebration as the team helped celebrate Coach Sanfratello’s birthday! 🎂🏃‍♀️ From personal records to tough competition and plenty of hard work, it was a great weekend to be an Oiler. We are proud of the effort our runners continue to put in and the way they are representing Whiting!
