Whiting High School is proud to announce that we have received a 2025-26 IHSAA Sportsmanship Banner in recognition of being a Sportsmanship Award Recipient during the 2025-26 school year! This recognition is about much more than what happens on the scoreboard. To earn an IHSAA Sportsmanship Award, schools must demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship throughout the year, establish a student leadership team, and complete activities that positively impact their school and community. Our student leadership team, FUEL — Focused, United, Engaged Leaders — has played an important role in helping make sportsmanship and leadership a priority within Whiting Athletics. Through FUEL, our student-athletes have embraced opportunities to lead, serve, support one another, and represent Whiting High School with pride. We are incredibly proud of the way our student-athletes conduct themselves — not only when we win, but especially when we face adversity. They understand that being an Oiler means representing something bigger than themselves.
