Yesterday was about more than just softball — it was about memories, friendships, and celebrating a special group of women who made history together. It was an honor to welcome back the 2006 State Champion Lady Oilers softball team for their 20-year reunion. The day was filled with breakfast together, watching the game, enjoying a slideshow full of memories, and sharing countless stories and laughs from years past. The team was also recognized before the game, giving everyone a chance to celebrate their incredible accomplishment once again. While the outcome of yesterday’s game wasn’t what we hoped for, the reunion itself was a reminder of what makes sports so meaningful. The bonds created through teamwork, hard work, and shared experiences last far beyond the scoreboard. Thank you to the 2006 Lady Oilers for coming back, sharing your memories, and allowing everyone to celebrate such a special chapter in Oiler athletics history. It was a great day for everyone involved.
