Whiting’s softball and girls tennis teams are off to strong starts this spring, showing early-season success and building momentum as competition heats up. The softball team turned in an impressive week last week, going a perfect 3-0 and sweeping their opponents. The Oilers showed consistency at the plate along with solid defensive performances throughout the stretch. While they came up short last night against Wheeler, the team’s strong start highlights their potential as they continue to grow and compete this season. On the courts, the girls tennis team is off to a great 3-1 start. The group picked up a notable win over a strong Boone Grove High School team last night, continuing to build confidence early in the year.
