The Whiting wrestling program had a strong showing at this past Saturday’s Sectional, highlighted by two outstanding performances that earned trips to Regionals. Kaiden Kender and Joshua Flores battled through tough brackets and secured their spots in the Hobart Regional on Saturday, February 7, representing the Oilers with grit, composure, and determination. Several other Whiting wrestlers also delivered impressive efforts throughout the day. Kaiden Rancich, Aiden Pena, and Gabe Burriss each put together competitive matches, with Burriss finishing 5th in his weight class and narrowly missing advancement. Their performances reflect the continued growth and toughness across the entire program.
