The Whiting Boys Basketball team came away with a 55-50 victory over George Washington (IL) on Monday night! The victory breaks a 35 game losing streak spanning over multiple seasons. The Oilers were paced by JJ Madrueno who led the team with 16 points, Lamont Ferdinand recorded 13 points and 7 steals, and Derald Walker with a near double-double with 9 points and 9 rebounds. A total team effort helped pave the way to a much awaited victory. Congratulations to the team, Coach Dan, and staff! JV also won 50-39. Next up the boys travel to Highland Thursday night. Oiler Up!
