Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Junior High Cross Country team hosted their first home meet of the season against the Speedway Sparkplugs on a beautiful evening for racing. The Stars showed team consistency, running strong across the board and putting together solid finishes. For the boys, Ari Smith led the way with a 1st place overall finish in 12:09. Hayden Trenary followed in 3rd place overall (12:59), with Wyatt Delp close behind in 5th place overall (13:09). Rounding out the Stars’ top five for the boys were Liam Sartin (14:00) and Gabriel Threlkelld (14:33). On the girls’ side, the Lady Stars faced tough competition but stayed focused and consistent. Hayley Trojnar finished 4th overall in 15:28, followed closely by Bristol McCord in 5th place at 15:30. Also finishing strong for the Stars were Skylar Yarger (17:35) and Lydia Boggs (18:39). The Stars’ strong team effort at home showcased their determination as the season continues.
