Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Junior High Cross Country team competed Saturday at the Terre Haute North State Preview on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. It was a beautiful day for racing, and every runner on the team earned either a new personal record or a season best! Leading the boys was Ari Smith, finishing in 11:35, followed by Griffin Johanson (12:26), Wyatt Delp (12:27), Hayden Trenary (12:34), and Liam Sartin (12:57), rounding out the top five. Daniel Trittin had a standout performance, cutting more than six minutes off his previous season best with a new personal record of 14:14. On the girls' side, Bristol McCord led the Stars in 15:09, followed by Hayley Trojnar (15:17), Alisha Manning (15:48), Skylar Yarger (16:15), and Lydia Boggs, who dropped nearly three minutes from her previous best of 17:29. The Stars showed determination and heart on the course, and their hard work is clearly paying off as the season continues.
