The Stars Home opening game hosted The Crawfordsville Athenians. The Stars came out and played physical game and set the tone early. They hustled, got on the floor after loose balls and played a solid game. The Stars forced turnovers and moved the ball very well and went to the half 29-15. The second half the Stars keep up the defense and scored off turnovers. The 4th quarter they hit a scoring drought but still Crawfordsville from scoring and brought home the win, 42-25. Boddicker led Stars with 14, Young 9, Jackson 8, Eastwood 5 and Mitchell and Baird 3. The B Team also opened at home against Crawfordsville. The Stars struggled at times to find the basket, but Carson Richardson hit 2 back-to-back 3's to take the lead for good and the win 11-10. It was a solid team effort and defense at the end that sealed the win. Richardson led Stars with 6, Wilson 4 and Snoke 1. The 7th grade Stars also pulled out a victory last night on the road over the Athenians. It was a tight one, winning by one point 40-39. Scorers: Potter 14 pts, Fields 11 pts 7 rebs, Devol 6 pts 2 rebs, Demaree 5 pts 2 rebs, Harrison 1 pt 2 reb. Stars will face Tri-West at home Thursday night.
