The Stars played in Monon Classic hosted at Frankfort. The Stars split their 2 games with Greencastle and N. Putnam. Game 1 with Greencastle got off to a slow start with turnovers, fought back in the second half with tighter defense and getting to the basket. The Stars ran out of time but closed the gap to 10. The Stars fell 34-24. Boddicker 7, Eastwood and Young 4, Wilson and Jackson 3, Mitchell 2 and Richardson 1 rounded out the scoring. Game 2 with N. Putnam got off to better start, however N. Putnam full court press rattles the Stars and were down 9 points in the first quarter. The Stars defense took over and closed the gap and went into half down 17-18. The second half the offense found their rhythm and again a strong defense led by Noah Baird and Kane Jackson keep the Stars in it. A couple late turnover put the pressure on but the Stars bounced back with several forced turnovers by Colton Mitchell and Owen Young leading to scores sealed a 39-33 win. Boddicker and Young 12, Eastwood and Mitchell 5, Baird 4 rounded out the scoring.
