Western Boone's volleyball team had no problems on the second night of a back-to-back on Tuesday. The Stars topped Crawfordsville 25-11, 25-13, 25-10, improving to 18-4 on the season. It was also senior night for the Stars, who celebrated their seven seniors - Raegan Durbin, Olivia Cox, Emma McClaine, Sadie Poeck, Janie Ransom, Olivia Smith and Morgan Witte. "These seniors have been a major part of our program since the beginning of their volleyball careers," Western Boone head coach Laura Bragg said. "This senior class is one of the most successful classes in program history. They have set an amazing example for the younger players and left a legacy that will be hard to match. Each girl has shown great dedication and leadership on and off the court. I have been very honored to coach them and will miss their unique personalities and all the memories we have made." Durbin had 17 kills and four aces in the match. Poeck added 16 kills and two aces. Emmerson Gott had four kills and three blocks. McClaine had three kills and Witte had two kills and two blocks. Ransom had 31 assists, with Izzy Adams having eight digs and two aces. Western Boone travels to North Montgomery on Thursday. Will Willems is the Sports Editor of the Lebanon Reporter.
