Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The WeBo Girl’s Varsity Soccer team, looking to build on their momentum from consecutive shutout wins last week, hosted the North Putnam Cougars on Tuesday night in a non-conference contest. In the match-up, Western Boone maintained their stout defense and showed continued improvement in their spacing, possession and passing that resulted in multiple attacking runs throughout the game. Unfortunately for the Stars, the only scoring came in the last 3 minutes of the game, when the Cougars converted a sideline area freekick which was deflected by WeBo’s defense into their own net. The Lady Stars will be back in action on Thursday, 9/26/24, with a 5:30pm kick-off at University High School.
