Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Last night, girl's JH soccer fell short against Frankfort (1-4). The girls started the game a little slow but were able to pick it up at the ten-minute mark. The defense, including Kora K., were able to develop their shape and step to the ball to stop Frankfort from taking shots. With Frankfort shooting powerful shots from far distance, Rachel R. did an amazing job saving the ball from entering the net. At the end of the first half, the score was 3-0. The start of the second half was much better for the Stars. Hannah R. drew a foul in the second half, which helped our motivation increase. Lyla K. was able to score our goal for the evening. We finished the half strong, and again continued to improve! The JH Boys lost a tough one last evening to Frankfort by a score of 1-10. Scoring for the stars was Jackson Linton. Brammer Lasley had 6 saves, Timothy Walker had 2 saves, and Fritz Heine had 3 saves at goal. Evan Washburn and Ryan McCormick had their best games of the season. Hernan and Jackson tried to connect for a set piece score but the shot went wide. The stars have 2 games on the road next week.
