The Stars picked up the first point of the match with a win from 2S Jon Rutherford. The 2nd point of the match came from the 1D duo of Owen Oakley and Easton Nance. The young doubles team picked up a unique 3 set win with scores of 6-2, 0-6, 6-0. The Warriors earned the next two points with straight set wins at 1S and 2D. The last point came down to 3S with freshman Jacob Collins taking on Liam Stierwalt of Danville. Jacob won a marathon first set 7-5. He had an opportunity to win the second set 6-3, but he couldn’t close the door. After three hours of play, Collins finally won the match with another 7-5 win in the 2nd set. The Stars improve to 6-4 (3-1 conference) and will look to get another win tomorrow at Hamilton Heights for a 5:00PM start.
