Last Friday, the Stars defeated North Montgomery in a close 3-2 match that came down to the wire at 2 Doubles. 1S Jones and 1D Ransom/Adams won their matches, followed by losses at 2 and 2 Singles. At 2D, Shepherd/Smith lost the first set in a tiebreaker, won the second set, and then headed into a third set with the match on the line. It ultimately came down to another tiebreaker with Smith hitting the winning shot and earning the team victory. The Stars carried the momentum into Monday defeating International 3-2. The varsity team finished regular season play with a record of 7-8 overall and 3-4 in conference. The JV finished their season 7-2. The varsity will travel to Crawfordsville Wednesday at 5PM to begin sectional play versus Southmont.
