Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

In the A game the Stars battled to a 6-2 victory over the Cascade Cadets. Cascade jumped out to an early 1-2 lead after the first inning, but the Stars battled offensively and defensively and rallied in the top of the 3rd inning scoring 5 runs and secure the win. Raina Lutz picked up her 7th win of the season in the circle, facing 15 batters through 4 innings, striking out 7. Offensively several Stars contributed with hits and RBI’s. Raina Lutz was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s, followed up by Mady Monks, Harper Nance, Kensley Blankenship, and Ashlynn Foster with a hit and RBI of their own. The Jr. High Lady Stars are now 7 – 2 on the season. In the second game, the Stars came up short with a 15-0 loss against the Cadets. The team struggled at the plate and in the field facing a tough Cascade group. Riley Gunn recorded the Stars only hit for the game offensively.
