The Lady Stars took on the Danville Warriors in the last home game of the season, playing hard and displaying effort but coming away with a 29-60 loss. The Stars did a great job of breaking the Warriors' press at the start of the game, moving the basketball well and getting good offensive opportunities early on. As the first half progressed, Danville's defensive intensity forced the Stars to commit multiple turnovers, slowing the team's basketball movement and offensive aggressiveness. The Stars went into halftime down 12-35, determined to adjust their game plan and turn things around in the second half. The Lady Stars responded in a big way to start the second half, executing on both ends of the court and outscoring the Warriors by one in the third quarter. The Stars couldn't close the scoring gap or maintain their intensity or aggressiveness the rest of the game, leading to the loss. The team did a great job of playing with heart, hustle, and effort throughout the entire game. The Stars were led in scoring by Ally Lewis with 9 points, followed by Ki'erra Koch with 8. The JV girls basketball team hosted Danville for their last home game of the season. The Stars struggled early in the first quarter only scoring 5 points but picked up 9 in the second quarter to close the gap going into the second half down 14 to 22. The rest of the game became very aggressive from both teams as Danville continued to pull away despite a great team effort from Webo that ended in a loss of 32 to 46. The Lady Stars are back in action in their final game of the regular season as they take on conference rival North Montgomery on Friday. Go Stars!
