Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Junior High Cross Country team travelled to Crawfordsville Wednesday afternoon for their first meet of the season against Crawfordsville, Tri-West and South Montgomery. In the girls race Joan Gearheart finished third with a time of 12:56 followed by Claire Torp (21st) in 18:33, Jaili Torp (22nd) in 19:25 and Autumn Palmer (24th) with a time of 19:59. Kole Nelson was the front runner for the boys and finished 22nd in 16:43, followed by 6th grader Caleb Crockett (24th) in 17:07. Close behind, Brentton Palmer had a time of 17:13 (25th) and 6th grader Rex Stanley finished strong with a time of 21:40 in 30th place. This young team has put in a lot of hard work preparing for this meet and their times are a great reflection of their efforts.
