Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The 7th Grade Stars traveled to New Market on Tuesday evening to battle MAC foe the Mounties from Southmont. The Stars defense set the tone early with Daniel Bewley, Henry Threlkeld, Camden Massingill, Ty Sanders, Ayden Bolen, Silas Boggs, Turner Pelley, Jace Anderson, and Gage Fields causing havoc for the Southmont rushing attack. Josh Fulbright & Dallas Gunn made plays in the secondary to shut down any passing threat from the Mounties. The Stars Defense also added a 4th Quarter Safety. Offensively, the Stars controlled the clock in the first half. Boggs, Sanders, Fields, and Braxton Faulk all ran hard and helped control the clock. Rushing touchdowns by Standers (2) and a receiving touchdown by Fields (pass from Faulk) and a 2-point conversion from Boggs led the Stars to a 22-8 victory. The Jr High Stars conclude their Season next Tuesday at Home against the North Putnam Cougars. The 7th Grade kicks off at 6:00 pm with 8th Grade to follow. The 8th Grade is looking to conclude their JR High Careers unbeaten.
