Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone 6th Grade Volleyball team started the week with a BIG win over rival Lebanon, defeating the Tigers in two exciting sets, 25-22 and 28-26. With the victory, the Stars improve to an impressive 7-1 on the season! The theme of the night was the setter-attacker connection! Both of the Stars’ setters, Claire Morison and Olive Jackson, did a great job setting up the offense and connecting with Everlee Hubbell for multiple assist-kill combinations. The trio helped Western Boone put together some great offensive plays when the Stars needed them most. The Stars were also strong from the service line, combining for an impressive 15 aces as a team throughout the match. Those tough serves helped Western Boone build momentum and put pressure on the Tigers all night. The second set proved to be a battle, with neither team willing to give in. The Stars stayed composed and continued fighting until they finally secured the 28-26 victory to finish off the match in two sets. What a great way to start the week and another great team win for the Stars! Western Boone will get a couple of days of rest before returning to its home court Thursday night for a rematch with Clinton Central at 6 p.m.
