What a battle for our 7th grade girls! We came away with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over North Montgomery! The girls came out strong in the first set, taking the win 25–4. Crawfordsville fought back in the second set, and we fell just short 25–23. Our girls didn’t let that loss get to them, and they came back ready to fight in the deciding set, winning the tiebreaker 15–4! Amelia Stambro led the team in serving with an impressive 14 serves and 8 aces! Addi Gregg was incredibly consistent in the back row, getting to every ball that came her way and keeping plays alive for our team. Saylor Princell and Piper Princell were strong at the net, each recording 4 kills and putting several other tough hits over to keep Crawfordsville on their toes. One of my favorite parts of this game was seeing the girls try new things, make adjustments, and continue to better themselves throughout the match. That kind of growth is exactly what we want to see! I am so incredibly proud of this group and the way they fought through a close second set and came back ready to finish strong. Great job, girls!
