The Stars traveled to Crawfordsville on Thursday night to take on the Atheians in a JH soccer matchup. The boys were up to the task staying physical and keeping the score tied 0 - 0 until the 6 minute mark in the first half. But the Atheians were able to score 2 late in the first to take a 0 - 2 lead into the half. The second half was similar. The Stars played tough, stayed physical, had scoring chances of their own but could not totally stop the Atheians. At the end the Stars lost 0 - 5. Overall, the score doesn't reflect how well the Stars played and how competitive this game was. Everyone stayed focused, played physical, fought for ball control and competed to the end. Up and down the roster we fought hard and no one gave up. The Stars season is winding down. We play our final regular season game, at home, against Greencastle next Tuesday.
