Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Stars traveled to North Montgomery on Tuesday night to take on the Chargers. The Chargers had the wind advantage in the first half and tried to strike early but were held back by a strong effort from the Stars. Late into the first half it was 0 - 0. But the Chargers broke through with under 5 minutes to go to lead 0 - 1. The second half the Stars had the wind to their backs and went on the offensive but were unable to break through. With 5 minutes left in the game the score was still 0 - 1. The Chargers deep bench paid off late as they scored 2 late goals to make the final 0 - 3. This was a rematch and litmus test game for our JH boys. The first meeting was dominated by the Chargers who went on to win 0 - 6 in that matchup. This game was competitive and in question until the end. The boys and their coaches were overall happy with us being able to compete, being physically tough and seeing the progress with the development of each one. Special shoutouts to Landon Huffer, Enzo Heredia, Braden Burns & Crosby Kinsler who I felt had especially strong performances. Good job boys!
