Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone 6th Grade Volleyball team battled through a tough three-set match against Frankfort, ultimately falling just short in a 27-25, 11-25, 14-16 loss. The Stars came out with a spark in the opening set. The team was working well together, playing scrappy volleyball, and fighting to keep balls alive. That effort paid off as Western Boone battled its way to an exciting 27-25 first-set victory. The momentum shifted in the second set, as the Stars struggled to find the same rhythm and Frankfort took advantage with a strong serving lineup to win 25-11. Western Boone showed plenty of fight in the deciding third set. After falling behind by five points, the girls dug deep and rallied back to make it a battle all the way to the end. The Stars fought their way back into the match before ultimately falling just short, 16-14. Service errors proved costly for Western Boone, especially against a talented Frankfort team that put consistent pressure on the Stars from the serving line. Despite the loss, the girls continued to work together and showed a lot of determination against a tough opponent. Everlee Hubble had another strong performance from the serving line and provided a spark for the Stars throughout the night. Western Boone will have a few days away from competition before returning to the court Tuesday for another road match at North Montgomery.
