The 7th grade Stars travelled to Greencastle to face the Tiger Cubs. The Stars Oline of Turner Pelley, Daniel Bewley, Beau Threlkeld, Karsten Hole, Camden Massingill protected and opened holes for the offense to control the ball limiting the Tiger Cubs to 1 first half possession. Jace Anderson & Josh Fulbright both did their jobs blocking on the outside. QB Braxton Faulk connected on 2 TD passes to Gage Fields (one of which was 90 yards). Ty Sanders and Silas Boggs ran the ball hard and Sanders scored a TD and caught a pass for a conversion. Boggs ran for the other conversion. Defensively the Stars shut down the Tiger Cubs run and passing game. Dallas Gunn and Jayden Vaughn both came up with Big interceptions. The 7th Grade Stars capture their first Monon Athletic Conference Victory winning 22-0. The Western Boone 8th grade football team moved to 3-0 on Wednesday night by defeating host Greencastle by a final score of 20-18. The Stars were tested more than they had been in quite some time, going back to last season, but in the end, responded by making key plays when they had to. Wyatt Redman scored a rushing touchdown and Nate Muir added a conversion. The biggest performance was turned in by Carter Crahen who snagged two interceptions, including the game sealing pick, to go along with his two touchdowns on offense. Additionally, he caught a huge late fourth down pass from Bryson Potter that ran out most of the clock on the Tiger Cubs. Cannon Dunk and Gunner Shirley added to the offense while Gage Miller ran hard all night, earning every yard possible in the middle and keeping a blitzing defense honest. In addition to the two big interceptions, the Stars defense made a goal line stand at the end of the first half that proved key in the final outcome.  The 7th Grade Stars return home on Tuesday for a 2 Quarter Contest with the Chargers from North Montgomery after the 8th grade game. 8th Grade is scheduled for a 5:30 kickoff.
