Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Lady Stars traveled to New Market to take on the Lady Mounties of Southmont, unfortunately coming up short in a 6-3 loss. The Stars were able to plate 3 runs on 4 hits in the contest but could not contain the Mounties giving up a total of 6 runs on 9 hits. Ally Lewis got the start giving up 2 runs on 2 hits striking out 3 with Mickey Burns pitching the final 3 innings, giving up 2 earned and 2 unearned runs on 7 hits striking out 1. The Stars offense put the ball in play but could not string hits together with Mady Monks, Adi Lee, Kensley Blankenship and Burns collecting a hit on the evening. The Stars will have a chance to even the Series as they host the Mounties this Thursday, May 21st at 5:30pm.
