Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone boys high school golf team returned to Crawfordsville Country Club on Thursday night to face Southmont and Lebanon. The Stars night was summed up by not playing poorly, but just not able to capitalize enough around the greens to go lower. It also reflected the overall improvement of the entire group, seeing seven golfers in the 40s and a couple of personal bests. For the varsity portion, the match results would be Lebanon 161; Southmont 169; Western Boone 183. Luke LaGrange once again led the Stars with a round of 43, followed by Alex Thompson's 46. Rex Stanley, Carson Richardson and Brennan Kopriva would all tie for the third score with 47s. For Kopriva, it was his personal best, and first time scoring for varsity this season. The JV team was led by Landen Miller, 49 (PB), and Ben Twitty, 52, each showing improvement over their previous trip to the course. The varsity will be back in action on Saturday as they play in the school's first MAC Golf Championship.
