The varsity girls tennis team picked up a great win versus Danville Thursday before the rain arrived. 1S Adams and 2D Baird/Hayden had dominant wins in straight sets, while 3S Eisley Whiteley won in two close sets, including a 7-5 first set. 1D Maners/Anderson lost their first set 0-6 before coming back and winning comfortably in the second to force a third, while Jade strong lost a close first set tiebreaker and was starting her second. The match was then rained out, but with the Stars already securing wins at three spots, they were able to advance their record. The JV team was tied 2-2 before the rain hit with 1S Ellie Whiteley and 3S Muir winning for the Stars. On Saturday, the varsity team will travel to Crawfordsville for the individual conference tournament, while the JV team will head back to Danville for a tournament of their own. Both will start at 9AM.
