Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Stars Junior High was at home last night against the Huskies from Hamilton Heights. The A-team started things off with a 7-1 victory. Griffin J. started on the bump and went one inning walking one and striking out two and giving up zero hits. Maison L. came in for the second and third innings. The left handed hurler gave up zero hits, zero walks, and zero runs. Jude A came in to close the game giving up one hit and one ER. The defense was on fire behind the pitchers with several players making plays. The bats got off to a quick start in the first inning with Jude A, Bram L, and Elijah P all collecting hits in the first. The Stars had 7 hits and 5 RBI's with Elijah P leading the way going 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. The A-team is back in action Wednesday night as they travel to Lebanon to take on the county rival Tigers. In the B-game the Stars tied the Huskies 5-5. Chase B started on the bump for the B-team going one inning and giving up zero runs. Tyler F, Brantley F, and Brannon G all seen time on the mound in a close fought battle. The bats were going for both team with Tyler F starting things off with and RBI in the first inning. The Stars had the winning run on 3rd base in the final inning with two outs but weren't able to get the in. The B-team travels to Frankfort Tuesday to take on the Hotdogs.
