The Stars A Team kept their bats busy Thursday night in Dover, racking up 15 hits in a 12-8, six inning win over the Gophers. Jade Hobson led the way going 3 for 3 including a triple. Aleena Beck and Kenzie Mikesell had multiple hits, as did Addi Gregg and Jayden Paris including a double each, and Lexi Lenehan added two doubles. Nova Crahen and Cora Reagan rounded out the hit totals. Riley Cervi along with Beck, Paris, and Reagan would also reach base by way of walk. Every player would score or drive in one of their 11 earned runs. Other highlights included a 1st inning putout by the catcher, Hobson on a foul pop up. In the 3rd inning, Paris scored a run on a well timed delayed steal of home. And in the 5th inning, Reagan caught a line drive straight at her face on the pitcher’s mound. She pitched all 6 innings totaling 9 strikeouts. The A and B Teams will both be in action at home Friday, with the A Team starting at 5:30 and the B Teams to follow in a rematch with McCutcheon.
