Varsity Softball Rolls Past Clinton Central

The Western Boone Lady Stars Softball team hosted the Lady Bulldogs of Clinton Central last night and pushed their season record to 5 and 3. The Stars got the offense going early scoring 3 runs in the first, followed that by 4 more in the third inning and rounded out the scoring with 7 runs in their half of the fourth making the final 14-0 in the Stars favor. Ally Lewis went 3 for 3 while Addi Lee and Kensley Blankenship added 2 hits of their own. Lewis got the start going 2 innings allowing 0 runs on 0 hits and striking out 4 before Mickey Burns came in to pitch the 3rd and the 4th inning allowing 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 3 with Raina Lutz coming in to close things out in the 5th also allowing 0 runs on 0 hits and striking out 1. The Stars will be back in action tomorrow when they host the Lady Cougars of North Putnam at 5:30pm in a Monan Athletic Conference contest.
