Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The boys' varsity golf team travelled to Bear Slide Golf Club in Cicero to take on hosting Hamilton Heights on Tuesday night. The length of the beautiful course, speed of the greens, coupled with windy conditions, was a great opportunity to be really tested early in the season. As a team, the Stars mostly passed the test at the outset, getting off to a great start. However, they couldn't quite hold it together, and saw a few mistakes on the final hole cost them the match by a single stroke, 194-195. The Stars were once again led by their three freshmen. Tim Boddicker led the way at 47, followed by Carson Richardson posting a 48, and Rex Stanley's 49. Sophomore, Alex Thompson, would complete the scoring with a 51. The program will be back in action on Saturday as it takes two teams, consisting of twelve golfers, to Rivercrest for the Covington Early Bird Invitational at 1:00 PM.
