Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Girls Tennis Team fell to Benton Central 1-4 in their season opener on Tuesday. Winning the lone spot for the Stars was the 2 Doubles team of Cami Baird and Mallory Hayden. Overall, the team had some solid moments throughout the evening as they adjusted to new positions, and they will have a chance to face Benton Central again in tournament play in a couple of weeks. The JV team was able to win 4-1, with Elle McLaughlin, Tristyn Fairfield, Jacee Gaines/Ashtyn Wagner, and Alex Muir/Emily Shepherd all winning for the Stars. Both squads will travel to Lafayette Jeff Wednesday for a 5:30 start.
