The Western Boone Stars hosted the Frankfort Hotdogs on Thursday evening for a junior high wrestling showdown, and the home crowd had plenty to cheer about. From the opening whistle, the Stars set the tone with aggressive offense, steady technique, and a string of early victories that built momentum they never surrendered. Western Boone jumped out to a fast lead behind Jace Anderson’s first‑period pin at 75 pounds, followed by a dominant major decision from Ty Williamson. Despite a couple of forfeits and tightly contested matches, the Stars continued to stack points with big performances from Austin Harlow, Griffin Johanson, TJ McKinney, and Nate Muir, each adding crucial wins to extend the team advantage. As the dual moved into the upper weights, Western Boone kept the pressure on. Simon Yarger, Gage Miller, Ty Sanders, Silas Boggs, Kamden Talbert, Connor Palmer, Drake Wagner, and Caleb Douglas all delivered decisive pins or forfeits, helping the Stars pull away on the scoreboard. By the end of the night, Western Boone secured a commanding team victory, 83–29. Western Boone now turns its attention to the weekend. The Stars will be back on the mat Saturday as they host their annual tournament, WrestleMania. Wrestling begins at 9:00 AM, and the team looks to carry Thursday’s momentum into a full day of competition.
