Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone boys basketball team finished third at the Sugar Creek Classic with a 47-39 win over North Montgomery. The Stars took a 12-4 lead in the first quarter and held on from there. Tristyn Faulk and Quinn Westerfeld led the Stars with 14 points and five rebounds each. Owen Oakley had seven points and Burke Cavins added six points and four rebounds. Sugar Creek Classic Game One vs. Southmont (Thursday) Southmont took the lead late in the fourth quarter to secure a 65-57 win over Western Boone. The Mounties, who trailed most of the game, used a 29 point fourth quarter to earn the comeback. The Stars travel to Frankfort on Friday.
