The Lady Stars hit the road last night to take on the Faith Christian Eagles, battling through a tough matchup that tested their resilience from start to finish. Faith Christian came out firing, forcing the Stars to adjust early with a box-and-one defense on the Eagles’ leading scorer, Johanna Haste. Despite the challenge, the Stars stayed competitive. Ally Lewis knocked down a smooth jumper to keep the offense moving, while Jaylee Dickerson energized the team with a big three-pointer and a strong drive to the basket. Their efforts kept the Stars within striking distance as the first quarter closed with the Eagles ahead, 15–9. The second quarter proved difficult. The Stars struggled to find rhythm offensively, managing just two points while the Eagles extended their lead to 26–11 heading into halftime. But the third quarter showcased the Stars’ trademark grit. Their defense tightened significantly, holding Faith Christian to just nine points as they clawed their way back into the game. The momentum continued into the fourth, where the Stars dominated the tempo. Emerson Gott attacked the rim aggressively, earning four trips to the free-throw line and providing a much-needed offensive spark. The Stars outscored the Eagles 16–10 in the final frame, showing tremendous heart and determination. Despite the late surge, the comeback fell just short, and the Lady Stars ultimately dropped the contest, 45–34. The effort, however, highlighted their fight and set the stage for strong performances to come.
