Panthers fall to Goshen

The Washington Panthers came out swinging under the lights Friday night, striking first with a crisp touchdown pass from quarterback Young to wide receiver Jaydon Lineberry. But the Goshen Redhawks answered fast—and hard—racking up two quick scores and capitalizing on a game-shifting 96-yard pick six that turned a promising Panther drive into a gut punch. Trailing 21–7 at the break, Washington didn’t flinch. On the very first play of the second half, Young and Lineberry connected again—this time for a 75-yard lightning bolt that reignited the crowd and narrowed the gap. Goshen responded with a methodical drive to stretch the lead to 28–14, and the Panthers couldn’t claw back from there, ultimately falling 38–21. Despite the loss, Lineberry delivered a standout performance on both sides of the ball: two touchdowns, two interceptions, and a relentless presence that kept Washington in the fight. His impact was felt in every quarter—and every sideline huddle. The Panthers will regroup and refocus, but Friday night proved one thing: Jaydon Lineberry is a name to remember.
