The young men traveled to Center Grove tonight in search of their 1st regional championship! Standing in their way was 34 time and 8 straight regional champions Center Grove!! The Trojans are a perennial powerhouse and the Mohawks playing some amazing tennis in falling 5-0 to them! #1 singles Charlie Fischer hung tough with one of the state's best in Yuvraj Dasari falling 6-1, 6-4! #2 singles Cash Young had some long rallies and games losing 6-1, 6-0 to Alexander Kandris. #3 singles Lincoln Fischer ran into a player on fire tonight falling 6-1, 6-1 to Jack Dywad. #1 doubles Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer lead 3-2 early and fought all night long losing 6-4, 6-2!! #2 doubles Noah Mitchell and Connor Ping came out on fire and had a 5-3 first set lead, but the Trojans duo proved too tough winning 7-5, 6-2. Great season for the Mohawks 15-4 on the season, county, conference , and sectional champs!! Throw in a 13 match win streak along with winning a regional match, this team set the bar high for future teams!! Let's go Mohawks!!
