The young men traveled to Shelbyville on Friday night for the sectional championship with Morristown. It is believed to be the first time that the Shelby Eastern schools have met in a tennis final match!!! Congrats to Morristown on their 10 win season!! The Mohawks captured their third sectional title in the last 6 years defeating the Yellow Jackets 5-0!! Nice job young men this week with the tough sectional draw!! #1 singles Charlie Fischer rolled 6-1, 6-0 over Dalton McMichael. #2 singles SENIOR Cash Young cruised 6-1, 6-0 over Eli Graves. #3 singles Lincoln Fischer continued his dominance with his 6-0, 6-0 win over Gage Frey. #1 doubles Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer work well together for a 6-0, 6-4 win over Michael Ballinger and Mitchell Ronan. #2 doubles SENIORS Noah Mitchell and Connor Ping teamed back up for a 6-1, 6-4 win over Ruston Kleine and Braxton Lenning. The Mohawks now turn their attention to the Center Grove Regional where they will face Roncalli on Tuesday at 5pm!! Let's go Mohawks!!
