The boys opened up sectional play on Wednesday night at Shelbyville and drew our county rival Triton Central in the first round! Always seems to be a tough 3-2 battle with the Tigers and this match proved to be it again with the Mohawks coming out on top 3-2!! #3 singles Lincoln Fischer got things rolling with a 6-0, 6-0 rout of Bradyn Robinson. #1 doubles of Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer won in straight sets 7-5 , 6-1 over Caleb McGuire and Max Crouse. #1 singles Charlie Fischer sealed the victory with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Janssen Capps. #2 singles Cash Young fell in tough match 6-3, 6-3 to Brayden Hoover. #2 doubles Noah Mitchell and Owen Hartman came up little short in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 4-6 to Graham Gast and Drayton Kermode. The Mohawks now advance to the semifinals on Thursday against the host Shelbyville Golden Bears at 5pm!! Lets go Mohawks!! Thanks !
