Jr. High Boys Tennis Battles Tough Columbus Central to 2-3

The Mohawks traveled to Columbus Central to play the Chargers on Tuesday night. The Mohawks played hard against the Chargers, but came up shorthanded with a final Varsity score of 2-3. 2 Singles, Harrison Fischer, and 1 Doubles, Luke Thomas and Lucas Lemmons were the lone winners of tonight's contests. Varsity was scored as mini-sets to four, which led to lots of tiebreaks. The JV was played as doubles matches, allowing for as many matches as possible, but the a few matches still ran until it was too dark to see. Varsity Scores: 1 Singles - Noah Leap with a score of 2-4, 0-4 2 Singles - Harrison Fischer with a score of 4-2, 2-4, (12-11) 3 Singles - Ollee Kuhns with a score of 4-5 (5-7), 4-2, (10-12) 1 Doubles - Luke Thomas and Lucas Lemmons with a score of 4-2, 4-5 (4-7), (10-6) 2 Doubles- Tanner Cockerham and Trent Allen with a score of 1-4, 4-5 (8-10) JV Scores: 1 Doubles - Max Leising and Austin Lemmons with a score of 2-6 2 Doubles - Deegan Smith and Garrett Stocklin with a score of 2-6 3 Doubles - Kiefer Cockerham and Wyatt Myers with a score of 1-6 4 Doubles - Hunter James and Eli Biller with a score of 1-4
