The Junior High Lady Mohawks traveled to South Decatur and came home with a strong two-set win over the Cougars. Remi Hewson led the way at the service line with 11 serves, including 6 aces, while Mollie Rouse and Wryn Miller also delivered excellent serving. It was an all-around team effort highlighted by improved communication and growing confidence on the court. Following the 8th grade match, the Lady Mohawks’ six 7th graders scrimmaged South Decatur’s 7th grade team for two sets. Playing together as this particular group for the first time, they impressed with outstanding teamwork and energy. This conference win brings the Jr. High Lady Mohawks to 3-2 in MHC play and 4-4 overall. They return to action Monday with another conference matchup against the Southwestern Spartans.
