The Mohawks welcomed 3rd ranked in Central Indiana Connersville to Senior Night on Thursday night ! We honor Cash, Connor, and Noah for their dedication to the Mohawk tennis program. The Mohawks let darkness win again two Thursdays in a row with a 1-1 tie to the Spartans! #1 doubles Jackson Kuhn and birthday boy Caige Sheaffer continued their impressive play with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Maddox Rees and Parker Thumb. #2 doubles SENIORS Connor Ping and Noah Mitchell lost 6-2, 6-3 to Logan Young and Evan Miller. #1 singles Charlie Fischer was on his way to victory in straight sets after hard fought first set 7-6 (7-5) with Anthony Streuwing and was up 4-1 in the second set when darkness came! #2 singles Cash Young split sets with Jay McMullen 6-4 and 6-3 and was getting ready to start third set. #3 singles Lincoln Fischer had an incredible match going with Abel Parsley. Lincoln lost first set 6-4, then came back to take second set 5-3 to set up deciding third set. Abel roared out to a 4-0 lead and Lincoln fought back for every point to even the set at 5-5 before darkness took over. Great effort young men!!
