7/8 Lady Mohawks fall to Edinburgh

By Kylie DeBaun | Sep 15, 2025 8:52 PM

The Jr. High Lady Mohawks fell in two close sets to Edinburgh. After trailing early in the first set, the girls fought hard and mounted a comeback, but ultimately came up short, 25-22. In set two, the Mohawks took an early lead and held strong for much of the set, but narrowly lost 25-24 in a nail-biting finish. This match proved to be our most challenging yet when it came to serving—an area that has been one of our strengths all season. Despite the setbacks, the team stayed focused, kept a positive attitude, and supported each other both on and off the court. Staying mentally strong is something we’ve been working hard on, and the girls did a great job of showing resilience and teamwork throughout the match. We’ll use this experience as motivation to grow and come back stronger in our next match! The Mohawks play their final home game tomorrow against Indian Creek at 5:30 p.m. in the new elementary gym. It will also be 8th Grade Night—come out and show your support for the Jr. High Lady Mohawks!
