Jr. High Boys Tennis Claims Victory at Waldron Invite

The Mohawks hosted the Waldron Invite this morning, and were joined by Indian Creek Middle School, Paul Hadley Middle School, and Benjamin Rush Middle School. The Mohawks are grateful to Benjamin Rush, who joined early the Invite early this week. It was a great morning for tennis, and the Mohawks played Paul Hadley in the first round. The breezed through the Pioneers to get to the championship. Round 1 Scores: 1 Singles - Noah Leap with a score of 8-0 2 Singles - Harrison Fischer with a score of 8-0 3 Singles - Ollee Kuhns with a score of 8-1 1 Doubles - Luke Thomas and Lucas Lemmons with a score of 8-1 2 Doubles - Tanner Cockerham and Trent Allen with a score of 8-0 The Mohawks moved into the championship and faced Benjamin Rush. They were tougher matches, but the Mohawks powered through to come out on top with a 4-1 win for the trophy. Championship Scores: 1 Singles - Noah Leap with a score of 8-4 2 Singles - Harrison Fischer with a score of 8-6 3 Singles - Ollee Kuhns with a score of 2-8 1 Doubles - Luke Thomas and Lucas Lemmons with a score of 8-3 2 Doubles - Tanner Cockerham and Trent Allen with a score of 8-1 The Mohawks take a few days off but are back in action on Thursday at Benjamin Rush Middle School to play the Lions of today's championship.
