The Mohawks traveled to Trinity Lutheran to play the Immanuel Lutheran Warriors on Friday night. With Immanuel Lutheran only having 8 players on their team and only having 6 to play, the 3 Singles spot was automatically a forfeit to the Mohawks. This was a JV-only match and the JV team fulfilled the calling of "It's your time to shine (Thanks, Luke)," particularly in the doubles categories. Scores for the Night's Match: 1 Singles - Austin Lemmons with a score of 1-8. Lemmons played a good match against the Warrior's lone 8th grader. He took him to deuce a few times, but couldn't finish the games in his favor. 2 Singles - Max Leising with a score of 2-8. Leising played evenly with the Warrior's lone 7th grader, but ultimately couldn't come out on top. 3 Singles - Deegan Smith with a score of 2-6. This match was played as a JV match due to Immanuel Lutheran not having enough players. Smith hung in the match but struggled to come out on top. 1 Doubles - Garrett Stocklin and Karsten Coy with a score of 8-6. Stocklin and Coy battled back and forth with the Warriors the entire match to finally get up a break and win the match. 2 Doubles - Kiefer Cockerham and Wyatt Myers with a score of 8-4. Cockerham and Myers also battled back and forth in their match but were able to pull away to victory after being tied 4-4. 3 Doubles - Hunter James and Eli Biller with a score of 0-6. Being that Immanuel Lutheran only had 6 players, two of the Warriors played back for this match. It was a tough match, but James and Biller stuck it out, placed some shots nicely, and gained great experience.
