The boys tennis team traveled to Shelbyville on Monday night for a potential sectional foe in the Golden Bears. The Mohawks fought hard in losing 4-1! #2 singles Lincoln Fischer got the big win 6-4 , 6-1 over Kashton Laycock. #1 singles Cash Young ran into a really good player in Reece Prickett and lost 6-1, 6-0. #3 singles Jackson Kuhn played the longest match of the night losing 6-3, 3-6, 6-7(3-7) to Bram Kolkmeier. Jackson did well for playing singles for first time this season! #1 doubles Owen Hartman and Caige Sheaffer teamed up for first time and played well together losing 6-1, 6-2 to one of the best doubles teams around in Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong. #2 doubles Connor Ping ( birthday boy) and Noah Mitchell came out firing to win the first set 6-1 to Jack Van Wye and Aiden Alton, but the Golden Bear duo came back to win the next two set 6-1, 6-3. The Mohawks have a few days off before going to conference foe Morristown on Thursday night at 4:30pm. Thanks !
