The Mohawks traveled to New Pal tonight to open their season with a match against the Dragons. New Pal was a new addition to the Mohawks' schedule this year, as the Mohawk Jr. High Tennis teams have not played New Pal in around 10 years. The Dragons had 38 players on their team, and so many of the Mohawks were able to play a few matches. Winners of tonight's match were: Varsity 1 Singles - Noah Leap with a score of 8-6. Leap fell 3-6 during the match, but stayed in it mentally and physically to win the last 5 games and his match. Varsity 2 Singles - Harrison Fischer with a score of 8-1. Fischer sailed through the Dragons #2 with ease. JV 1 Singles - Tanner Cockerham with a score of 6-2. Cockerham played a quick match to come out on top of his match. JV Doubles - Austin Lemmons and Wyatt Myers won their second match of the night, playing a JV Doubles position together.
