The boys tennis team opened up their season at home against an always tough Seymour Owls team . The Owls came away with the 3-2 decision this year after Mohawks won 3-2 last year! One of my favorite teams to play during the season! #1 singles Cash Young played first ever match at top spot and performed well in losing 7-5, 6-3 to Braylon Busby. #2 singles Lincoln Fischer was defeated 6-2, 6-0 to Carter Stein. #3 singles Owen Hartman struggled in losing 6-0, 6-0 to Dane Thompson. Doubles teams looked impressive for first time together as varsity teams! #1 doubles Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer pulled out a great three set win 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 to Shun Takeuchi and Max Payne. #2 doubles Noah Mitchell and Connor Ping provided great energy in winning 6-4, 6-3 over Gage Hillian and Gus Henry. JV Action Ethan Moody got his first career win with an 8-6 decision. Max Taylor fell 8-1 in his match. Mohawks turn right back around and travel to Madison on Tuesday night for a 5:30 start with the Cubs! Thanks !
