Waldron Jr-Sr High School

The Jr. High Lady Mohawks traveled to Hauser Thursday night for another exciting night of volleyball. * 7th Grade – 4-1 Overall | 3-1 MHC** The 7th grade Lady Mohawks came away with a 2-game victory in two closely contested games! Strong serving from Brooklyn Thomas, Avery Smith, and Laila Williams helped the Mohawks battle through the tight sets. Brooklyn also had a great night at the net! With every game, these girls continue to show improvement, work hard, and learn more about the game. We love seeing their confidence grow. * 8th Grade – 2-3 Overall | 1-3 MHC** After a tough start and a loss in the first set, the 8th grade Lady Mohawks rallied together and fought hard through the next two sets. They won the second set before falling 12-15 in the deciding set. Evan England contributed 6 digs, 8 assists, and an awesome job covering the floor and keeping the ball in play. Caroline Kuhn added 7 digs and 8 kills. Gracee McConnell and Azalia Rader scored several points on serves. This was a hard-fought match, and we’re already looking forward to seeing what happens when these two teams meet again later this month. It should be an exciting one! We’re proud of the way both teams continue to compete, improve, and grow. The Jr. High Lady Mohawks are back in action Tuesday, September 8 at Rushville! 🏐💙
